Typhoon Haiyan

For years now I've been wishing to see Anderson Cooper in person, I complained when Ondoy hit us and Andy was a no show, when Habagat or monsoon hit us in 2012 I wished for Anderson to come here... Why?! Because I wanted to see him and I know there's no chance to see him unless a disaster strikes my country, I wanted a disaster just to get Andy's attention...I was quite insensitive...never thought about anything or anyone else but myself. But when typhoon Haiyan struck Tacloban and other parts of the Visayas region, to tell you the truth, the last thing on my mind was my fangirl fantasy... heck, I even learned about Andy coming to Tacloban from a friend. The destruction Yolanda left was indescribable, really, I found myself crying, it's was so hard to see my kababayan (countrymen) suffer because our government didn't do enough! And the sad part is they won't admit it even if it hits them in the face... faced with facts, observations and comments from around the world our government will still maintain that we are doing well and help from the rest of the world is not really necessary.

Here's an example, this prick here is our secretary from the Department of Interior and Local Government, if you observe how he reacts to criticisms, well, that's pretty much how all of them from the government think specially our president, good for nothing bastards, they all are!

And by the way, Anderson had a tiff with one of our "top journalists" here, Korina Sanchez, she stated in her radio program that AC does not know what he was talking about when he reported that there are no government presence in Tacloban, bodies are lying there days after days and he can see no effort in cleaning up or picking the bodies from the street, the living sleeps next to their dead relatives...and Korina, sitting pretty from her air conditioned room tells everyone that AC was, basically, lying, he was making thing up. To cut a story short...Korina is married to Mar Roxas. So there...figure it out.



I am so proud of my countrymen, for being strong and resilient in hard times like this. And I am ashamed of my government. That's the truth.

And I didn't get to see Andy in person, to be honest, I tried but I never really went out of my way to see him even when he came in Manila when he did his last days of reporting. It's okay, I will eventually see him, I know it and hopefully not because of another disaster.

Let's go for 14!

What a game that was! I knew Rafa's gonna win the 1st set because Novak was missing routine shots, I think he was nervous! Hah! I also expected that Novak will win  set 2. What I didn't see coming was the 3-0 Novak winning in the 3rd set! I was losing hope, I was so sure Rafa's will win and Novak was changing my script. It's a good thing Rafa is so tough mentally, he's very physically fit but mentally, he is super human and that I think is what the other players lack.

You better watch out Novak, Rafa is just a few hundred points away from that top position, it's just a matter time, you better enjoy the moment.

Congratulations, Rafa! See you in the Aussie open! Let's go for 14!

No Words

The sad news about two boys strangled by a python in Canada haven't left my mind since I first heard it. Two lovely boys sleeping...no words, my heart bleeds for their mother. If I were just a few miles from where she lives I'd give her a hug. I am crying as I am writing this.  News of death is so common these days I hardly remember any of them but this one stabbed me and left a wound in my heart.

It wasn't anybody's fault, from what I read it was really an accident but I still think that the pet-owner should be held liable for their death, he had no permit for the snake. It should be kept in a zoo and not in a house with kids.

Andy forgave me... in my dreams, really!

I was sitting on one those benches where the grass is green and everyone's wearing white so I'm guessing I was in Wimbledon when suddenly a man wearing a white jogging pants with matching jacket and gold stripes sat beside me, an Adidas maybe. You guessed it, it was Andy and then he smiled at me, I smiled back and then I suddenly felt guilty and remembered all the bad things I said about him in my blogs, the emotion was so strong, felt ashamed so I did what my heart and mind is telling me... I asked for forgiveness! I told him I was sorry I ridiculed and made fun of him, etc. He didn't say anything he just smiled at me again. I guess I'm forgiven.

Just a suggestion though, Ivan has already taken care of your grand slams don't you think it's time you hire someone to take care of your hair or your overall appearance?

I've been listening to this song for so long and yet I never thought about watching its video until now, I couldn't stop watching it and couldn't stop crying too. I love Florence and I love this song.

Mark Gatiss will play an undisclosed role in the season 4 of Game of Thrones, wow! And I thought the show couldn't get any better!

Which reminds me, a hundred years back, Gary Lightbody announced that he'll be joining GoT, a wee role he said. He also said "Blink and you'll miss me." or something like that. And I did, I forgot all about him, I totally missed him, now I have to watch season 3 again.

What is going on in Wimbledon? The seeded are being upset by the...errr...seedless, I guess.  But there's someone that really caught my attention from the bunch of unseeded players now... it's Dustin Brown. It's like he's putting groove into tennis. I swear I'm singin' jammin' when I see him. He's 28 so he's probably not going any further but I hope to see him in the US Open also.

I can't wait to watch series 3 of Sherlock. I so miss you! How did you not die? My brain hurts I just could not figure it out. Been watching the Reichenbach episode over and over, I guess I'll just have to wait. Sigh.
